  • “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our”, and “Us”, refers to our Company

  • All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Clients’ needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Canada
  • Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization, and/or, he/she, or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Introduction and Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Member,” “you,” or “your”) and Accrual Business Services (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Purpose Profit Prosper membership program, including any associated resources, community features, events, and content (collectively, the “Services”).

By enrolling in the membership, accessing any part of the Services, or continuing to use the Services after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.

Eligibility and Membership Access

Membership provides access to the Purpose Profit Prosper - DIY Bookkeeping Membership and its benefits, as outlined at the time of your subscription. Benefits may evolve over time to enhance offerings available to members.

To join the membership, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law.
  • Provide accurate and current registration information.
  • Maintain active payment for continued access to the Services.

Access to the Services, including all content, community areas, and benefits, is available only to active, paying members. Upon cancellation or non-payment, your access to the membership portal and the community will be revoked.

Membership Benefits & Changes

Membership benefits are described at the time of enrollment and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Access to private community discussions
  • A direct Ask Esther Channel in the community
  • Resources, templates, and tools
  • Accountability opportunities
  • Discounts on partner services
  • Access to the Revenue Roundtable networking space

We reserve the right to add, change, or remove benefits at our discretion to improve the Services or reflect business needs.

Pricing Terms

From time to time, we may offer special promotional pricing (eg. Founding Member) or other limited-time offers.

These offers are available only for a set period of time and/or until a limited number of spots are filled. Once a promotional period ends or the available spots are taken, that price will no longer be available.

Membership pricing will increase at regular intervals — either monthly or when available spaces in a tier are filled, whichever comes first — until reaching the top-tier rate. Once a rate increases, the lower offered rate will not be offered again.

Payment Terms

Membership fees are billed in advance according to the selected billing cycle. All fees are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise specified.

Payment processing is handled through third-party platforms, including but not limited to ThriveCart, Heartbeat, PayPal, and Stripe. You agree to their terms of service in addition to ours.

You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid.

Refunds

By default, all membership fees are non-refundable. However, we may, at our sole discretion, offer prorated refunds in circumstances we determine appropriate. Granting a discretionary refund in one instance does not obligate us to do so in future cases.

Revenue Roundtable

All membership tiers currently include access to the Revenue Roundtable as long as there is an active subscription.

This feature allows you to network with peers, promote your business, and connect with other members, regardless of whether you use our bookkeeping resources.

If your membership ends for any reason - including cancellation, non-payment, or the conclusion of a trial without continuing - your post will be removed. This ensures the space remains relevant for active, paying members only.

Rules:

  • One Post Per Member – Create one post introducing your business, including what you offer, who you help, and how members can connect with you.
  • Keep It Fresh – You may edit your post at any time to update your offers, pricing, or contact info. Updated posts naturally move to the top of the thread.
  • Cancelled Members – If your membership ends, your post will remain in the thread but will not be bumped to the top. Over time, it will move down as active members update their posts. We may, at our discretion, archive or remove posts from inactive members.

Disclaimer: The Revenue Roundtable is a space for members to connect and share their businesses. We do not endorse or verify any products or services listed here.

Member-to-Member Interactions Disclaimer

The Company is not responsible for, or liable, for any issues arising from such transactions, including but limited to:

  • Any disputes, damages, or losses resulting from interactions between members.
  • The quality, delivery, legality, or accuracy of goods or services offered by members.

All member interactions are at your own risk.  Please perform your own due diligence before purchasing, hiring, or engaging with another member’s offer.

Intellectual Property & Copyright Protection

All content provided within the membership — including but not limited to templates, guides, videos, text, graphics, and course materials, provided within the membership remain the intellectual property of Accrual Business Services and may not be reproduced, shared, or resold. All content is protected under Canadian copyright law.

Use of Content & License Restrictions

Upon joining, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the provided content for your own business purposes only. You may not:

  • Share, distribute, reproduce, or sell membership materials to non-members.
  • Modify or create derivative works without prior written permission.
  • Use membership content to create competing products or services.

Community Standards & Content Removal Rights

You agree to follow our Code of Conduct posted within the community at all times.

We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend, or terminate membership at our discretion, without refund, for violations of these Terms, the Code of Conduct, applicable laws, or misuse of membership benefits.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Privacy Policy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Termination of Membership

Cancellation by Member

You may cancel your membership at any time through your Purpose, Profit, Prosper Member Portal, which will direct you to the cancellation page in ThriveCart, where you can manage your subscription.

Alternatively, you can manage your subscription directly through the link provided at the bottom of your membership emails from Accrual Business Services (via receipts@thrivecart.email), or by visiting:

https://accrual.thrivecart.com/updateinfo/

To ensure your cancellation is processed before your next billing date, we recommend completing your cancellation request at least five (5) business days prior to your scheduled payment. Cancellations made after this window may result in an additional month’s charge, which is non-refundable.

If you prefer assistance, you may also message us through your Purpose Profit Prosper - DIY Bookkeeping Membership portal at least five (5) business days before your next billing date, and we will process your cancellation on your behalf.  Requests for cancellations made after this window may result in an additional month’s charge, which is non-refundable.

Your access to all membership resources and community features will continue until the end of your current billing cycle, after which your account will be deactivated by default. Deactivation preserves your threads, posts, and comments, as well as keeping your profile and your Revenue Roundtable post within a “Legacy” section, visible only to active members.

If instead you choose to leave the membership directly through the Heartbeat platform using its “Leave this Community” function, you will be given the option to either:

  • Leave your posts, comments, and profile data intact, or
  • Permanently delete all of your information from the Purpose, Profit, Prosper community.

Please note: if you select deletion, all your contributions will be deleted, and your profile and Revenue Roundtable post will not be included in the "Alumni" channel.  This choice is irreversible and cannot be undone. You may rejoin at a later time using the same email, but your previous contributions will not be recoverable and you will have to start over to earn badges.

If your membership is cancelled or terminated for non-payment, rejoining will only be possible at the then-current subscription rate. Any prior promotional or discounted pricing will not be reinstated.

Cancellation by Accrual Business Services

We reserve the right to deactivate or delete accounts at our discretion, at any time, including for non-payment, violation of our Code of Conduct, or any other breach of these Terms.

  • Deactivation preserves a member’s past posts and profile within the Legacy section.
  • Deletion permanently removes all posts, comments, and profile data from the community.

In the case of violations, we may revoke access to the membership immediately and without refund.

Important Note on Cancellations

Leaving the Purpose, Profit, Prosper community within the Heartbeat platform (by selecting the “Leave” option) does not cancel your subscription or stop billing through ThriveCart and the confirmation popup that says "Any subscriptions you have will be cancelled" is referring to payments made through HeartBeat, and not ThriveCart, which is what we use.

To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription through one of the approved methods:

  • Your Purpose, Profit, Prosper Member Portal (redirects to ThriveCart),
  • The cancellation link at the bottom of your Purpose Profit Prosper invoice emails, or
  • The direct ThriveCart management page: available here

Failure to cancel your billing in ThriveCart will result in continued charges, for which refunds will not be issued.

If your membership is cancelled by you, or terminated for non-payment, rejoining will only be possible at the then-current subscription rate. Any prior promotional or discounted pricing will not be reinstated.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
